DocViewer Environments

DocViewer has the following environments:

Local

When you run DocViewer locally, it's available at canvadocs.docker. A couple things to note:

• It runs against DynamoDB local, which can be extremely slow
• It runs a trial version of GroupDocs, which has some limitations

Edge

Edge is DocViewer's continuous deployment environment. All changes are immediately deployed to Edge. It is available at https://canvadocs-edge.inseng.net.

Dev

Dev is an environment that the developers use for experimentation and testing. It's for use primarily by developers, but if you need access it is located at https://canvadocs-dev.inseng.net

Beta

Beta is a more stable environment than Edge. Code is deployed to Beta to facilitate testing before releasing to production. It is located at https://canvadocs-beta.inscloudgate.net

Production

There are production environments located in various regions. Code is deployed to production frequently, but new features are only released every 3 weeks, according to the Canvas Release Cycle. The urls for each environment are:
